Theatre of Wine / Specialty Retail
www.theatreofwine.comTheatre of Wine, founded in 2002 to offer an eclectic, high quality range of wines from small individual estates are the kind of company who avoid all the nonsense, snobbery and over-sell associated with wine ‘buffs’.
Today, they describe themselves as ‘purveyors of fine wines, rare beers and exquisite spirits’ which might sound rather posh but, as founder Daniel Illsey stresses, “I think a key word to describe us is ‘honest’; definitely no bull”!
They are passionate about their trade, and are proud of the fact that their retail shop in Greenwich has become a ‘local icon’ with its emphasis on interesting and individual producers and avoidance of the big mass-market brands.
They are regular award-winners, locally and nationally, including being short listed by Decanter Magazine as one of the best independent wine merchants of 2006.
They also hold tastings for corporate clients, arrange special events for up to 250 and deliver locally – an all-round service indeed!

7a College Approach,
London, SE10 9HY
This is without doubt south-east London's flashiest bar. Designed by MDF-champion and Greenwich local Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen, each of the four rooms has its own feel – from the glitzy main bar to the fire-lit snug bar, with its erotic wallpaper. Cocktails are the order of the day here - they're slightly pricey, but Inc Bar is all about glorious excess.

188 Brockley Road,
London, SE4 2RL
Most Londoners have never heard of Brockley, let alone been there, which is why its quiet stylishness has been so unnoticed. Lots of students from nearby Goldsmiths university live here, and this can be clearly seen in the arty, boho cafe Toad’s Mouth Too. If coming alone, make sure you bring a slim volume of poetry to peruse while you enjoy the homemade cakes and pastries.
