The reaction of our team working on the ‘P&B Showcase’ to Wendy-Sarah Pacey’s jewellery was unanimous - boys and girls alike.
This work has the ‘Wow’ factor and more - the beauty of the designs literally stands out. They look appetising enough on display and they demand to be worn to be brought to their full glory.
Necklaces, brooches, earrings, in fact whatever their purpose these are designs that are ‘illuminating in all senses of the word.
Wendy herself is very matter-of-fact about the ‘magic’ she creates in her workshop. "The main motivation of my work is to bring a sense of preciousness to jewellery made with non-precious media. I make up a composite material of acrylic and foil which captures light to give depth and luminescence".
And, she adds, becoming slightly more poetic - "This creates shimmering, vibrant colours and patterns."
Understatement, we chorus! Seeing is believing!
